Enroll in the GCS 199 Career Counseling Seminar!
The Career Counseling Seminar is designed to assist students with selecting a career direction and major.
The class is eight weeks in duration and meets TWICE per week. The course will help you identify occupations
that are consistent with your interests, strengths, and personality. You will learn about various careers as
well as how to make an effective career choice. Students who take the course report that it is extremely
helpful to them. Career counselors who are trained to provide career guidance teach the course.
This course offers:
- one hour credit
- partial semester (meets for 8 weeks)
- pass/fail grade
Class Objectives
- identify your interests, skills, personality characteristics, and values
- identify careers that fit these traits
- research careers of choice
- learn how to effectively select a major and career that fits YOU!
How to Register
- go to EKU Online Instructions
- login (your nine digit EKU identification number or SS# without dashes)
- click on "Student Services & Financial Aid" menu
- click on "Registration"
- click on "Add/Drop Classes"
- select "Fall 2009"
- click "Submit Term"
- enter class' CRN # (5 digit section number)
- click "Submit Changes"
- click "Log Out"
